Description
Available in Christchurch from 24 Feb 2025.
2005 Toyota Noah, automatic, 168,xxxkm, 3-4 seater, 2 person camper with curtains, couch that converts easily to a narrow double bed, solar panel, roof racks, auxiliary battery, x 4 usb charging sockets, dometic 30 litre drawer fridge, awning and ingenious pull out drawer/bench for storage of cooker, cookware, plates cutlery and food etc. One further built in drawer for storage of clothes etc and plenty of space also in the footwell/boot and in the area under the bed.
We bought this van when it retired from service as a community health shuttle and converted it to a campervan that is still easily usable as a regular car round town (just with less seats) due to its compact size and the design of the bed which folds back into a couch to allow the third seat in the back to fold down. We mostly leave the fourth seat out even when not in camping mode as it works better for camping without that extra seat but with a few tweaks (to bed configuration etc) you could keep it in full time – we’ve got all the bolts to fix it in place.
We’re having a baby so reluctantly looking to trade our pride and joy in for a slightly more suitable (boring) vehicle.
The van came to us well serviced and cared for and we have continued her maintenance – most recent maintenance includes x2 new tires, new windscreen wiper blades, a new oxygen sensor installed (in the exhaust pipe)and an oil change in the last few weeks. We’ve never had any issues with the vehicle – it starts easy every time and runs pretty smooth and as a bonus is much easier to drive round town than other vans.
There are a few minor areas where the van shows her age (eg the passenger side sun visor is broken and held up by the curtain rail and a tie down and there are a couple of exterior dents) but those haven’t caused any issues in getting a warrant (warrant in place until August 2025). Registration until 14 May 2025.
Selling with the solar panel (~$200 new), roof racks, spare battery (~$150 new), fridge (was $1000 new), curtains, mattress (foam mattress with a mattress topper incorporated, together ~$300 to buy, which I cut down into sections so it can be configured as a couch and sewed removable covers for washing), fitted sheet for bed, duvet and awning (~ $450 new) included.
If you are keen to have it more kitted out with useful items so you can start your trip straight away, we can include a gas cooker, small gas bottle (full), x2 plates, bowls and mugs and plastic wine glasses, x4 spoons, forks and knives, sharp knife, wooden spoon, plastic mixing bowl, pot and fry pan, usb rechargeable lantern and fan for an extra $200
Happy to answer any questions if you are a serious buyer. Get in touch to view either in Parklands or central city. Could possibly sell in Wellington also but won’t be back up there until early April.
