The time has come to sell our home on wheels. It is fully self-contained certified for up to 3 people (next inspection due July 2028) in line with the new guidance. It has just had 12 months Rego, fresh WOF and surplus road users charge along with a service done at the WOF. It has everything you need to start your New Zealand adventure! šŸŽ‰

We’ve been living in her full-time for the past year and she’s perfect for full-time vanlife for travellers, or super comfy shorter family trips. She has so much storage that we’ve literally used 2/3 of the space, even with all of our mountain bikes, skis, kayaking and hiking/camping kit. She has taken us all over both North and South Island, from the beautiful beaches of Northland, forests of Rotorua & Taranaki, the wild West Coast and breathtaking Fiordland.

Living area:

With a spacious and comfortable layout, there is plenty of space to stretch out, you can stand up in her, and have a place for everything you might need.

It has a fixed bed, which is extendable to a full double size, with an enormous garage space underneath. There is a 3rd small bed that sets up across the seating area. There are pillows, warm duvet, an incredibly snuggly blanket to keep you warm and a thick mattress topper to make it extra comfortable.

There are large storage trunks under the seats and two tall cupboards (one with shelves and one with a hanging rail) and neat storage spaces over the bed. In the kitchen area there is a large pantry cupboard and two overhead cupboards where we keep all of the (included) pots/pans/utensils and crockery/cutlery. Over the cab of the van there is another large storage area. There is a retractable table over the seating area and a folding table that reaches out the side door.

There is a 22L fixed cassette toilet under the seating area that is concealed when not in use.

The van has been well insulated and has roll down curtains all round, we have made some insulated window covers that help make it even toastier when the weather is a little chillier.

Kitchen:

For the kitchen there is a double gas hob with electric ignition, masses of counter space for preparation and a sink with a cold water tap. There is a 12v brass monkey compressor fridge (65L with optional freezer compartment) which runs off of the leisure battery.

There is both a fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide alarm fitted and a fan assisted roof vent to help with condensation.

Garage:

Large garage that fits two mountain bikes, two sets of skis and two large suitcases and still isn’t full.

80cm tall, 136cm deep (sides) & 90cm deep (centre because of fridge), 175cm wide.

Camper additions:

The van comes with a leisure battery system that is charged by both the alternator and a fixed solar panel on the roof. This provides power to the fridge, lights, water pump and plugs through a 1000 watt inverter, great for laptops, cameras, phones, power banks ect.

It also has a 230v caravan plug in point (cable included) for hook-up.

The radio has been upgraded to include a screen that also has a reversing camera, android and apple phone connectivity

There are 50L of fresh water tanks and 50L of greywater tanks and all the hoses and attachments you will need to fill them from the very handy second sliding door.

The Van:

She is a 2.4L diesel with a manual 6 speed gearbox that has done 358,000kms (still being driven) with a reconditioned engine (155,000kms) fitted at 345,000kms

We’ve done a lot of TLC since we bought her (which we have all the paperwork for) – we’ve really been on it with getting little age-related niggles fixed and looking after her, including:

New batteries (July 2025)

New starter motor

New tensioner pulley and bearing

EGR valve bypass (egr valve issues are a very common and annoying issue with older diesel vehicles here in NZ)

Auxiliary belt replaced

Clutch master cylinder replaced

We have absolutely loved living in her full time and could not have imagined the places she has taken us. We are happy to answer any questions and look forward to seeing her go off on her next adventure.
