* no if you are a mechanic⚙️ or a diy fanatic🛠️(there is nothing to fix). If you are on a very limited budget💸, you can consider it as an investment the way we did, I will explain just below.

We bought this lovely Nissan Serena (2007) last November from a dealership that does an amazing job converting Vans, despite the high price (15 500 not equipped) we fell in love with it and decided to invest knowing we would spend most of our trip sleeping in it.

Why did it convince us and why should it convince you? Features list below (find 🎈)

Convertible cabin; most of this size vans come with bed only, not this Nissan Serena that has a modular interior that can be arranged as dining room (table and 2 couches), living room (double couch with side table) and, of course, bedroom.

Lots of storage, under the big couch we could fit all of our belongings, there are other compartments in the cabin and plenty of space in the shelves in the kitchen area in the trunk. Below the fridge there is an accessible but not immediate storage area where you can put all the stuff that you don’t really need but you can’t get rid of (it has to be useful at some stage, right??)

The matte grey thick curtains that do a crazy good job at keeping the light out and guarantee your privacy; Davide did a little modification and with closed curtains you now have 130% of the space of any other van built like this.

Lastly let me tell you about the electrical side: there is a second 12V battery that powers the fridge/freezer and a 600w inverter from which you can charge all your devices. On the roof 2 solar panels that charge the second battery. Another way to say that we never ran out of battery.
